NIAGARA FALLS FIREWORKS. Every Sunday, Wednesday, Friday and holiday from May 1 to Oct. 30. 10 p.m. Queen Victoria Park. Presented by the Niagara Parks Commission and Tourism Partnership of Niagara.

ONGUIAAHRA: SOUND AND LIGHT SHOW. Aug. 26 to Sept. 5. 8-10:30 p.m. Queen Victoria Park, Niagara Falls. Performance features music, lights and water jets that come together to tell the story of Niagara. Performances at 8:15 p.m., 9:15 p.m. And 10:15 p.m. A live band, and a laser light show, will take place between the performances.

ARTISTRY BY THE LAKE. July 1-3. Queen’s Royal Park, Front St., Niagara-on-the-Lake, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. . A variety of artists showcasing paintings, fibre arts, jewellery, sculptures, photography, pottery, glass, wood and more. A juried show presented by the Niagara-on-the-Lake Chamber of Commerce.

BATTLE OF CHIPPAWA. July 5, 5-7 p.m., Chippawa Battlefield. A memorial ceremony in honour of those who served during the Battle of Chippawa.

ART IN THE GARDENS. July 16-17, Aug. 20-21, 1-5 p.m., School of Horticulture and Botanical Gardens, Niagara Falls. Artists from the Parkway Artists’ Guild showcase their art and demonstrate skills. Includes a children’s paint corner.

SOUTH ASIAN MUSIC AND BHANGRA DANCE FESTIVAL. July 31, noon to 10 p.m. Queen Victoria Park, Niagara Falls. Family-friendly South Asian music festival with singers and Bhangra dancing performances.

SIEGE OF FORT ERIE. Aug. 6-7, Old Fort Erie. Battles are camps are free; admission fees apply to enter Old Fort Erie and evening lantern tour. Witness the battles of 1814 that turned Fort Erie into Canada’s bloodiest battlefield. Explore the camps filled with re-enactors, then watch the full battle re-enactment.

NIAGARA CARIBBEAN FESTIVAL. Aug. 21, noon to 10 p.m. Queen Victoria Park, Niagara Falls. A cultural festival featuring costumes, music and dance.
